Chance me?

You are definitely qualified! With MIT it’s anyone’s guess, but you are definitely academically competive. Your ECs are primarily only academic, however, which may hurt you in the long run.

Bump

MIT- low reach

^ agree!

Grades and test scores are good, so I think a lot of it will come from your essays, letters of recommendation, and interview. Long shot, but I think you have a chance. Remember to apply to some safety schools.

MIT: Reach

It depends on your major. If it’s engineering or some math field I would say little chance because of a 3 on your physics AP. Your classmates will by us physics olympiads finalist and there would be a question of whether you could handle the course load. Maybe there was a good excuse for the 3 on Physics I AP and 4 Chem AP and you explained it on your application? If you are going for a less math intensive major you have a good chance with your awesome test scores, grades, EC plus a female from Florida. Good luck!

You look as good as any committed student seeking admittance to MIT, observeraffect. MIT will train you if they take you, and they have taken kids across the spectrum of mastery of work at the high school level. You will work r e a l l y hard there if you get in, as I imagine you know.

Good Lord, how many APs did you take?
What about something outside of your math-minded work? Were you able to speak of other parts of yourself in your essays? (Love the family game stuff, I have to say.)
