man that girl on the bottom row second from the left has quite a six pack

indeed, as chiseled as mine. lol, like i could ever have a six-pack. well, i do have one in the fridge... :)

now this thread just HAS TO BE BUMPED!

The MIT cheerleaders are smart.

She seems to be only pretty girl on her squad...

I can definately imagine how MIT guys are girl-hungry.

I can definitely tell you that most of the ones I know aren't.

refrains from gouging her eyes out after reading this thread
bloody christ, children. am i the only person on the planet who got the memo that personality and intelligence and good humour are sexier than big tits and a pretty face? actually, i know i'm not, but still.

right, so i'm reacting a bit quickly, admittedly, but come on. next you'll be telling me you're surprised MIT has athletes. or that people here get laid. newsflash: those are ~20 out of the ~2000 women around here, minus grad students; why on earth would you assume that they're the most attractive girls on this campus? depending on your tastes, i can direct you to better. hell, i know girls who'd rock out on SG.com. and they can talk sexy quantum at you. i know i'm a fan.

I was actually surfing facebook last nite and there's this group for a hottie who's running for '08 class President. I think its pretty uplifting after the dreadful experience that is the MIT cheerleading squad.

So, hi, I am one of the MIT cheerleaders.

I'd like to note, considering the general tone of this discussion, that all of these pictures to which you're all referring were taken right after we finished competing -- that is, we had been throwing people around/being thrown around for about an hour prior to the photos.

Did anyone consider the possibility that we're not heinously ugly, those are just bad pictures? I realize it's alluring to bash us without taking the time to investigate further, but you should realize that you're being extremely unfair.

mollieb,

I got to see plenty of cheerleaders at CPW; I agree with you.

Hi all, I'm also one of the MIT Cheerleaders. I actually danced pre-MIT, but the cheerleading squad is really sweet and fun to hang out with, and I've now been cheering my entire time here (I'm a senior).

It's really judgmental and ignorant of everyone who has been making fun of the cheerleaders. I have a lot of respect for the squad. It's pretty difficult to maintain a solid GPA, do extracurriculars, have a life in general, and get enough sleep here. We make time for cheerleading because we like it.

As for the "most unattractive cheerleaders" comments, I am surprised that some can be so harsh on a group of people they've never actually met. For those who have been so nasty, if you do come to MIT, we'd love to meet you in person.

touch

It was mentioned before by a parent user of the forums- that the entire squad could be reading the thread. It's surprising that not only did no one think of this, but after someone else mentioned it, the thread continued to bash the cheerleaders. Man. That said....

grin

OK, so who was it? Come on, I KNOW someone finally tipped off the cheerleading team about this thread and that's why 2 of them made usernames just to reply. Whoever you are, I LOVE YOU. Accountability, people. Accountability. =)

I am ugly for a cheerleader => I don't do cheerleading.
Point.

i forgot whose, but i looked at the website of someone who was talking trash about them... and he was the grossest greasy thing i have ever seen in my life. haha i bet everyone else bashing the cheerleaders is also butt-ugly and shouldn't be talking in the first place.

I'm a parent and have been sort of following this thread from the beginning. I stopped reading it after a period because it made me angry. I was very dissapointed that so many people could be so mean. This is one instance where I feel the moderators should have stepped in and closed a thread. All this thread can possibly do is hurt nice people who go the extra mile to make MIT fun. There is no useful information to be gained or other benefit of this thread. It's just mean. I wish we could reveal the identities of all the posters hiding behind their anonymity, so we may all admire their beauty for ourselves and post comments for all the world to see. To those who had nothing nice to say, but had to say it anyway; you should be ashamed, and you owe every member of the squad an apology. To the girls on the squad: keep up the good work, have fun, ignore the idiots, and thank-you.
