Well guys, the time has come! We have a long six weeks ahead of us. Let's use this thread to discuss!

First!

10char

Second! 10char

Anyone know when MIT will announce the official decision time?

@Texasian0: Last year, Nick M. found out in the middle of band (5th period).

They’ll announce it when they feel like it.

The decision date/time will be announced when the admissions officers are far enough through selection that they can predict when they’ll be totally done. Historically, they’ve usually announced the decision date around the end of the first week of December, and the date itself has been between December 15-20.

Hey guys! Applied EA but I also applied ED to Carnegie Mellon, which is narrowly my first choice. I love both schools though. Good luck to you all!

I am assuming the announcements are made via email. Correct?

There will be an email, but it will also be announced on the admissions website.

I’m rooting for you all! I get butterflies just thinking about getting to apply in 2016. Good luck; you’re all awesome! :)

GLHF to everyone.

We’re all gonna make it brah

Last year was at 12:15 PM EST on 12/15.

Ooh fun numbers

Count me in! Anyone else doing EA? Anyone brave enough to post stats?

I posted a month or two ago - but I think most people have the stats, it’s the essays that set us apart!

Ha, let’s not make this a stats thread.

From what the MIT students seem to post on this forum it’s not about the stats anyway.

Hmm ok, anyone want to post their essay topics? :D

Meanwhile, I think the interview is pretty important too, from what I’ve read…then the recs…sighz.

Let’s just not talk about the actual application. Hopefully I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes when I say that the EA application is done with, might as well focus on other things, right? Let’s take this time get to know each other as potential classmates, what’s you guys’ favorite season of the year and why?
(Or I can be that crazy guy :P)

Right in between Fall & Winter! Perfect weather (in TX, anyways), beautiful sunny chilly days, colorful forests, and no pollen
