This thread is oddly empty. Though I get the feeling a lot of people on, just not posting.
@whateverharvard when I saw your comment, my heart stopped!!!
@whateverharvard I just got really scared
sorry guys
@dudewhatsup
I’ll bet you have better grades and scores though.
@whateverharvard no need to apologize, we’re all freaking out right now
@dudewhatsup
what did you use to sense the motion?
rgbd camera like leapmotion or kinect? IMU?
@trexter grades and scores will only get you past the first level. after that they dont matter. remember, around 80% of applicants have the grade and test scores to handle mit
@dudewhatsup
thanks for the nice pat on the back. we’ll all know soon.
@Trexter i created one using a webcam and one using a normal camera. In case of the camera(the feed appears clearer than that of the webcam), I streamed the feed to my computer, where I had some python code running on a server analyze it
@trexter did you use opencv for your project?
@dudewhatsup
thats awesome!
did you use opencv?
@Trexter I do a lot of projects in CV, so in some cases I do use OpenCV. for this I used, simpleCV,an opencv alternative to python, but I also created a sign language reader that used opencv(it was really rough and only worked on some letters)
@dudewhatsup
haha… we asked the same question. Ya I did.
I am freakin out!!! why is everyone so calm?
@dudewhatsup
I have a feeling that we would get along very well.
@tigira hahaa, its hard to show emotions through text… I’m a nervous wreck
@trexter truuee! I try talking to my project with people at my school and they just dont get it. then i give up and start talking about house of cards
