So for those of us who just got into Caltech, what’s the probability of getting into MIT as well? Anyone know any stats or trends for that?

@burgeress i am not a savage
-
@intellectboy not usually. people just apply to MIT overall.
@MITChris hi not a savage lol are admissions officers still going over our applications or just chillin’
adcoms have no chill
@MITChris #coolestAOever
low bar, tbh
Still have no idea if I’m getting in, I don’t know how to judge the quality of my own application. I’m guessing a deferral. Still can’t tell if my ec liked me either? The interview lasted just under an hour, but only about half of that was spent on her asking me questions. We’ll see what happens
@sweatearl That’s the worst part about it, right? Not being able to judge the strength of your own application…
@MITChris Do you summarize applications to committee? And if so, how does such a process even work? It seems very difficult given all the information needed to be communicated.
the next few days = silently screaming in hd
good luck to all of you!! wishing you the best
I am wondering if the AOs actually look at every maker portfolios or just read the evaluation from the evaluation panel. @MITChris
@MITChris Hello! I am wondering around how many international students are accepted in Early Action.
@MITChris what is your favorite color and why?
@MITChris Will Does MIT faculty have any say in admissions decisions?
@MITChris Is GPA recalculated to remove fine arts and theology classes?
@MITChris do AOs procrastinate often?
“@MITChris Hello! I am wondering around how many international students are accepted in Early Action.”
@MITChris me to! I
I am from Israel, and I figured that since there are only 1-2 Israeli accepted to MIT every year, that admission office might want to wait and check out all of the Israeli applicant…
@MITChris Thanks for the information. Following the trend of drones and then droids in decisions video, what to expect this year? I am just curious to know.
do you like coffee or (mi)tea @MITChris
oh god
