MIT Class of 2021 Applicants

Nice, I’ve been doing Spring Break homework and I’ll have to go to actual work around 4, so I’ll be busy :)>-

February/March passes by in a flash with IB…

I’m just sitting around thinking about the decision. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I’m curious to know… is MIT your first choice? Like would you choose it over Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford etc?

@MSYP100 I didn’t apply to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, and got rejected from Stanford. MIT will be nice, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t care too much about the outcome.

Based on last year’s statistics (and this year’s EA), how many people do you think applied RD, and how many of those do you think will be accepted?

Too much pi + notification butterflies = super uneasy stomach

I’m wondering which universities you guys have been accepted at?

Only at the University of Michigan. However, considering it was the first university I have heard from so far everything is going great!

I recently got accepted at UC Davis and UC San Diego, so life isn’t too bad

Got a likely from Columbia recently… that’s about it. MIT’s probably my top. Didn’t apply to any other top schools.

Has anyone received any correspondence from MIT since the application? I know they don’t do likely letters, but any “signs” admitted students know about?

Based on statistics my counsoler gave me, the acceptance rate this year overall was 7 and a third %

Stressed out

@cvanderloo Don’t be.
@ManaManaWegi For international students, I think it will be around 3.5%

MIT is my top for sure - but it won’t be after today. Cause yknow, rejection :"""") A close second is UChi so it’s great to get my heart broken twice in a span of four days :))
(PUT MIT ON TOP, MY LOVE ON TOP)

@Helium9 that’s a little hard at this point

@cvanderloo Is anything easy at this point? Haha

Good luck to everyone! Remember, if you don’t get accepted, it’s not the end of the world. MIT was my son’s dream college since he was 10, but although he got deferred, he didn’t get accepted last year. He now attends CalPoly San Luis Obispo and loves it! You will go where ever you are meant to go.
