“Offering me” MIT!!

Especially when you so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so want to join the community there x.x
Also very stressed. Have had MIT as a target school since elementary school. Have been building up my school career to build up my chances of getting in. Have doubts still about getting in because of the overwhelming amount of applicants that are just as prepared and qualified as I am.
It’s all good, @DoctorDraX. College is just one step of whatever path you make.
@Flyverse You’re right about stress though…
But don’t be. I was probably more stressed than you when I applied to Stanford EA. I couldn’t get anything done those days, and I was rejected in the end… It’s beyond your control now, so hope for the best, but don’t worry about anything.
MIT Class of 2020 Mom here. I just want to wish ALL of you the best of luck this evening!! Regardless of whether you get in or not, it’s what you do once you get to college that counts!!! Take full advantage of ALL your opportunities and work hard - Success will follow…Deep Breath!!
I’m trying to simmer down the possible events by arguing that I can’t even afford MIT because i won’t get good FA and that I always have admission to SLO
remove your hopes and then the only place you can go is up. isn’t that how it goes?

Good luck @DoctorDraX ! Like I mentioned in my post a little while ago, my son also dreamed of going to MIT since he was 10. He did everything in high school that he thought would help him to get accepted, and he was even one of the top 10 students, but he didn’t get accepted. He ended up going to CalPoly San Luis Obispo, which he chose over UCLA, and he loves it! So if you don’t get accepted, remember that there will be other opportunities, which may be a blessing in disguise. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Got accepted at Rensselaer and RIT so far, where else did you all get into?
@cvanderloo Cal Poly Pomona, UC Davis, UC San Diego, and a few safety schools.
I’ve gotten to RPI (too!) and UMD and Northeastern. Currently stress baking Thin Mint brownies, like I did when I got deferred in December.
Good luck everyone! Didn’t apply to MIT (lol I’m definitely not smart enough) but I just wanted to say I don’t know any of you, but I respect and admire each of you that had the guts to apply. You’re all awesome and you’re gonna do great things no matter what a piece of paper says
Got into UC Berkely and Georgia Tech both for Electrical Engineering. Also got into Virginia Tech(safe school). Lets see about MIT.

Unfortunately, I did not. And personally, I can’t afford Berkely without it so I most likely won’t go there unless I get a lot of scholarships
