MIT Deferred, what now?

I just found out that I was deferred from MIT, I know they say that its just
that they want to put it in the reg decision pile, but is that really true or
is it the door slamming on my foot in the door? What percentage of deferrees
really get in on average? Here are my stats, is it prob that I'll get in reg?

THE GOOD

OTHER
I know 2 ppl wo applied early, one who got in and the other also deferred and
got in reg. I def have better grades than both, EC's about even. Also they
both got in from the private school i used to go to, but i switched to public
in 11th.

VERDICT
So what are my chances? as my calc teacher says...does not "teaching calculus
to nuns in third world countries" pretty much exclude me? Or am i just taking
this deferred way to badly?

13% of you deferred MIT-ers get it in the end...I.....don't know if you're one of them or not. Maybe....right now I think 50/50

ou'est que tu as trouver 13%? Je veux essayer de trouver le chiffre pour les deferred de Caltech, comme j'ai re

yea..that was a little bit too hopeful to think xerxes would post again quickly..basic gist of the above...where can i get info for deferment acceptence rates Reg decision for MIT and caltech, as i got deferred from both?

J'ai apprendu que MIT a un rate d'acceptance de 13% quand mon ami me dit ca. Il est (crazy) au propos de les statistiques des HYMPS.

Yeah, so my french isn't super. All i know is from 4 years of taking it. In fact, I suck at it. But, I know enough to get by. And, I learned of the 13% thing from my friend, whom I graduate on being admitted to Cornell. This guy is obsessed with college application stuff, and he knows it pretty well. So i trust him on that. I'm pretty sure he read up on it on last year's reports that are probably made public by MIT.

I am that friend accepted at Cornell....the 13% was the admissions rate for EA applicants, not the percentage of deferees getting accepted in the end. From past numbers, around 400ish I think (IIRC from the blog) deferees get accepted in the end...for a 20-30something defer to accept rate.

Hopefully, you are doing well. Did you get in in regular action this March?

No, He got it
** TWO YEARS AGO **
