I am currently attending smu but I would really like more time to work on some f the projects I am doing out of school and thought that if MIT offered their eecs major via distance learning and if they did what the requirements are I have a 3.3 but I would be lying if I said that isn't sub par for MIT. If they don't what are some REAL cs degrees I could consider pursuing at a top notch universities distance learning program? Thank you

You say you want more time to work on projects outside of class, but then you imply that you want to go to a more rigorous institution’s online program. You do realize those two goals are not compatible, right?

For one, online classes in general are going to take up more of your time and attention than offline classes (and therefore you’ll have less time for outside projects). For two, the more rigorous the institution and coursework, the more time you’ll have to devote to it (and therefore the less you’ll have for outside projects).
