<p>I have still been thinking about this, and I still think I should just apply to Cornell ED. If accepted to Cornell, I think that I will have mostly forgotten about MIT by the time I finish senior year. Also, the financial aid at most other (non-ivy, upper-tier) schools will be comparable, and the education quality isn’t that much worse at Cornell, is it? Right now I’m taking 6 AP classes and one class at my community college, so I won’t really have enough time to write very good essays for 10+ schools anyways.
Also, does Cornell give you the financial aid package with their ED acceptances?</p>
<p>Ok, just wanted to say, in case anyone else sees this thread, I did apply early action to MIT (mostly because my dad lost his job), and I got in! So don’t apply early decision just out of fear… You may just get lucky with your first choice, like I did.</p>
