MIT EA "tube" receipts

Yes!! My son has worked so hard and today, he is so happy that he can stop writing essays for backup schools!

Good Luck to all the rest!!

So he got in? Congratulations! What's up with the "tube" though?

what biomath2 said

Tube....?

I think my brain is going to explode.

Congrats... please add yourself to the Official Decisions thread.

Have to leave the post details up to my son....sorry.

It's a tube? DON'T TELL US! NO!!!

That explains the large volume of mail. When Matt showed the picture of the mailman wheeling out "the last of the decision letters" I thought it seemed usual for 3000 pieces of mail to take up several boxes.

Cool--A tube!

well... at least i know... haha

whoaaa a tube!!! No wonder Matt said you wouldn't mistake it with anything else....I gotta go tell my friend who applied EA! rushes off!!!!!

Yeah...I assume some folks will be upset they have to go pick it up at the post office because it wouldn't fit in their mailbox.

Well...maybe not too upset :)

what u mean by tubes?

I assumed they are cramming the acceptance info in a tubular form? :P

I don't understand why they would use tubes unless they were sending something that required one... like a poster.

We like to be different ;)

Aaaaaaaaah. How big are the tubes? My mailbox is TINY.

~ 20" x 3"
and...yes, there is a poster included.
A T-shirt would have krinkled the more important contents. ;)

Overall, a REALLY nice presentation....

...and, it cost them $1451.45 for the EA admits postage!

Job well done to the MIT admissions crew!

ooh a poster! like the linux penguin or the playboy bunny... or john travolta. ORR.... http://images.despair.com/products/demotivators/potential.jpg

pebbles that last one would come with the rejection letters ;)

A TUBE?!? WAY TO GIVE IT AWAY. CRAP NOW I'LL KNOW AS SOON AS I SEE IT.
