Yay!!! Time to celebrate. Congratulations!!!

Deferred
(even with the MIT WISE).

MIT was it/#1.
He doesn’t have another affordable option, so we’re waiting for state school.

Oh, but he just won 1st place in his wrestling tournament! Yay!

Thanks for the stats. Declined means Rejected?

Yes, my preferred term for that outcome

My child got deferred

So from deferred to RD, it was 1.8% chance to be admitted last year.

My daughter was deferred. We are both taking that to mean that she will ultimately be denied. Congratulations to all who were accepted!!

All my D22’'s classmates are deferred. I’m unsure at this point of any acceptances. From our nearby schools we heard all those accepted ones are either USAMO quals or MOPpers or Olympiad quals of USABO, USNCO etc. It was pretty difficult for my D to take the deferral but we convinced her that’s it’s just a deferral and not a complete rejection. Infact Caltech has rejected the same students who got into MIT :grinning:

My D 22s class got 2 into MIT, one through Naval ROTC. I think the ROTC route is much easier, for those who apply in the future, or who still might want to do ROTC this year.

Deferred. Less sad than I thought I would be.

Getting accepted into Cal Tech on the same day helps with that. :grinning:
