I am an international applicant and I have graduated from high school in November. Thus, my final transcripts are out and will be sent along with the rest of my application. Is it still necessary to fill the MidYear Report in January?

Sorry for too many questions in such a small period of time; feel free to answer those whenever possible:

On the online application, there is a free space for the student to provide a URL referring to any own Inventions/Robots/Etc. Despite the fact that I do not have any prompt document delineating one of my inventions, I do have the link for an advertising video I made for a company. Would it be feasible to refer to such video as an invention in this field of the application form?

Do we have to send first-quarter grades with the transcript? Or can I just save those for the midyear report (as they’ll likely be higher by then.)
I’d really appreciate a quick answer guys this is pretty important and my school needs to finalize everything by Wed.

i was admitted early, but my schedule has changed a little since my application (one class will not work out because of timing issues). i mentioned that my spring schedule was tentative in my application, should i send the admissions office the courses i am going to finally end up taking, or is no update necessary? thanks!

Hey, I was deferred EA. The Science SATII I initially sent was Bio E, which I got a 640 on.

I had to take physics at the last minute (december) because some of my schools don’t take bio as their science (for engineers anyway). I got a 710.

Obviously Physics is a higher score, but as far as % correct, these really aren’t too different, so I’m kinda at a loss as to whether I should bother sending this too. And does MIT even take additional test scores after being deferred EA? Would they care to see this?

Looking at the draft of my application’s part 1 (which I have already sent), I noticed that I committed a mistake when informing the Graduate School of my mother. Instead of referring to the institution where she acquired her Master, I wrote the one in which she is currently pursuing her PhD.

Could you say what should I do in this case?

Our school doesn’t offer AP courses. However, I took two AP tests. On section 4 of part II on the application, where it says to list AP or IB courses along with the corresponding AP test score, can I write in my test score and the date taken anyways?

I applied to MIT through QuestBridge (deferred EA), but I noticed that somehow a typo came through in an essay. Should I bother asking to resend the essay or should I not stress too much over it?

Also, if I’m taking SATs again in January, should I notify MIT now, or will your receipt of my scores automatically trigger a re-evaluation of standardized tests come February?

Hello Chris. I was accepted EA to MIT and I plan to enroll. However, my schedule next semester will be different from that listed on the transcript I sent you guys. Is there someone I should email to tell about my schedule change? I don’t think it should be too much of a problem-- it’s not like I’m dropping all my APs or anything-- but I just want to make sure that I have told MIT everything they need to know.
Thanks!

Hi,
I’m applying to MIT regular decision as a questbridge finalist. I’m generally happy with my questbridge application so I just forwarded that, but one problem was that I didn’t really have room for my extracurriculars. Is it okay to send a resume and if so, what would be the best way (email and what address, fax, etc.)?
Thank you

I’m an international applicant. I’ve already sent the evaluation letters. Would sending more recommendation letters from other teachers, and sending a resume help in the admission process?

Also, the fax number mentioned in the supplementary document sheet is 617-258-8304. Which of these numbers should I be faxing them?

Sending more recommendation letters or a resume does not automatically help your application – sending extra materials helps only if they add to the application, perhaps by discussing facets of the applicant that are not addressed elsewhere in the application, or by providing helpful detail about things discussed only briefly elsewhere.

If you want to send extra materials by fax, you can send them either to the number Chris mentioned or to the number you mentioned.
