Cheap (i like to say frugal) father here....Does anyone have knowledge as to when the financial aid decisions are distributed? Is it online or via mail?

I think it’s before April 1, I don’t know if it comes by mail or online.

[MIT - Student Financial Services](<a href=“MIT Student Financial Services”>MIT Student Financial Services)

online monday march 18 at 12 PM EST

What is there to wait for? They promise to cover 100% of student need minus EFC. Your son/daughter can already view their EFC on the FAFSA site.

I think the EFC may change if MIT recalculates it with CSS profile and other non-FAFSA info.

blah blah blah

There was a post on the blogs that may answer most questions regarding the decisions:

[After the Award | MIT Admissions](http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/after-the-award)

I just received my FA award letter today. Paying for college is going to be tough for my parents, but I didn’t expect much more aid than I already received. Just happy to have the opportunity to study at MIT.

Although, now, I will be anxiously waiting for my regular decisions to come back so I can see how the various packages stack up…
