I know, only you guys will be able to answer this question and not the financial aid forum. So, MIT requires me (you all also) to send my parent's 2008 W-2s and income tax return to them.

Do I send these to the MIT financial aid office directly or IDOC will take care of it? How did you do it?

May I hi-jack this thread? Seems you worked out your problem and now I’ve got a financial aid problem too!

I’ve sent MIT my FAFSA, CSS, and my non custodial parent’s forms, and their financial aid tracking system reflected this, saying they had successfully received all that. The only thing missing was my custodial parent’s forms. However, their tracking system has changed now to say they have received nothing from me yet and are waiting on both parents’ forms and my FAFSA and CSS. I sent an email asking about this, is that all I can do? I sent my custodial parent’s forms today, so hopefully it will show up that they have those.

edited to add: I have sent my fafsa and css to three other schools. The only one of them with a tracking system up says they have my css but not fafsa. I sent my fafsa ages ago. Could it be a problem with fafsa?

Thanks SYNCHROTRON! And thanks for letting me know guys, it at least makes me feel better that I’m not the only one. Hopefully it did happen to everyone and isn’t just something messed up for just a few people! I’ll update if I get a response to my email.

wow i was reading this and i thought i’d check mine…
everything had been recieved and now it says that nothing has been recieved.
it must be a glitch
