For anyone who's in MIT's Engineering grad school, how hard is it to be accepted? I heard it's somewhere in the range of 20%, but I'm not sure. Also, from where does MIT pull it's accepted applicants? Are the majority MIT undergrads, or do they come evenly from different colleges?

Each department does its own admissions for graduate school, so the acceptance rates vary by program – some of the smaller programs, like aerospace engineering, are probably near 25%, but EECS is likely closer to 5-10%.

MIT is the most common undergraduate origin for MIT graduate students, but not the majority.
