MIT, Harvard, Caltech, etc.?

This was a good year for early matriculants :stuck_out_tongue:

@ILoveUniv Course 6 is bae

Oh yeah, it was a truly amazing year for us lol

I’ll probably do Course 6 ;o)

Amazing profile!
You have a shot at all of the UCs that you listed.
Ivy Leagues and MIT are tough for everyone but you definitely have a very good chance
All the best! I hope you get into MIT

@pallavijaniani Thank you very much! I’m mainly interested in MIT (where I have been accepted), Harvard, CalTech, and UCLA. Hopefully I get accepted to at least one of those!

OMG Congratulations!!
I feel so happy when people get accepted into their dream schools
Hoping the same for me haha :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you very much, @pallavijaniani. Good luck!

@ILoveUniv MIT and Harvard are reaches for everyone so its hard to tell. How can you cry after reading your essays? You wrote them and probably were reading them while editing so did it really come as a big surprise for you when you read your final copy again.
Anyway, you’re a competitive applicant and have a good shot. I think you’re best shot would’ve been applying ED at Caltech. It’s much easier for Asians to get into Caltech than MIT.

@HollaChalla Thanks for your input. It’s not reading the essays that made me cry; rather, it’s what I wrote. I told my life’s story, and I’m sure that anyone who recalls their life’s hardships and happy moments, etc., in a time as stressful as that of the college application period, will cry, or at the very least, get emotional.

Regardless, thank you for your input on Caltech. I would have loved to apply to Caltech EA as well, although, as I think I said above, MIT is my dream school, so I wanted to focus all of my efforts only on MIT. I will be applying to Caltech RD, though. ((Un?)fortunately, I don’t believe in the “demographic” “chancing” aspect of college applications, because if I had, I would never have had the guts to apply to MIT.)
