Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 10%
AP (place score in parenthesis): AP Physics (5), AP Calculus (4), AP US History (3)
IB (place score in parenthesis): Started IB my junior year, left the program after two weeks. Took IB Bio 1, IB Chem, IB Beyond Calc, and IB Lit 1 but didn’t take any of the tests.
Senior Year Course Load: AP Physics C, IB Lit, IB Psych, dual enrollment math and then a few electives (music, swimming)
Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): none

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Marching Band 9, 10, 11 (section leader 10 and 11), orchestra (viola, principal grades 9 and 11), track (varsity grades 9, 10, 11 and I’m assuming 12)

Volunteer/Community service: bird rescue (300 hours) and local hospital (200 hours)
Summer Activities: none
Essays (rating 1-10, details): 9/10, wrote about playing music at a local nursing home.
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details): 8/10. My calc teacher had me for three years and really loved me, but my literature teacher did not like me that much.

So if you do not have a safety and you do not get into any of the above schools, you plan to go to a community college or take a Gap year? You are a competitive applicant, but by no means is any of these schools a guaranteed acceptance. There is must be a in-state school that you would be willing to attend just in case…
