Too much normal people could afford … When I was searching for info/help about life in the US, I went to a conference organized by the Fulbright commission, and it ended up being a conference of the founder of one of these essays writer-test prep company who tried to sold it’s product… I think the minimum package was at 20k$. And they were like “Last year we helped someone to get into X community college”.
I left the room without regret. I can be admitted to a good university (perhaps not an Ivy, but still) by my own.</p>

I think I mostly agree in terms of achievement. If you hired someone then you’ll never know if you could have gotten in by being yourself. So getting in by hiring someone to write your essays has less value than getting in by your own merit. It’s definitely helpful to have a counsellor person (school, home etc) who reads over your essays though.</p>

I’ll not be doing that. I’ll wake up as usual (6:30-7:30AM). The decision remains the same at 4AM or 8AM:p I don’t want to spoil my sleep very early in the morning!</p>
<p>@hopingforbetter I have 2 blogs (one is quite successful - won two awards last year). I also have an online math help website and a website for the photography community that I founded. That makes 4 websites.</p>
<p>I have 2 videos showing an engineering project (a touchscreen) I made 
One is a demonstration (kinda popular), and the other one is the explanation of how it works (less popular, ~40 views).</p>
