What does MIT look for in my application?

I mean I really want to go there, and I'm a freshman (I'm in student council but no athletic activities; I get placed (top ten) in math competitions and I almost qualified for AIME; my GPA is 4.206 and I currently am taking Chem, Bio, Pre-calc as freshman)

I really, truly want to go to MIT, and I don't know how! Will you give me the basics of going to MIT?

The MIT admissions website has [an entire page](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/before/recommended_high_school_preparation/index.shtml) on precisely this topic.

Critically, they recommend taking a challenging courseload throughout high school and doing well in it, and participating in extracurriculars that you enjoy. There is no formula for getting into MIT.
