MIT Launch Summer Program 2016

@timallen to see if my application was reviewed, i checked to see if the views went up on my application video. And if there is no interview, I would say that you are either getting deferred or rejected (didn’t get an interview, still hoping for one, I read that the range of time that people are notified is usually two weeks or so but I am not sure). They mostly decide who they want to interview based on who their strongest candidates are so they can learn more about them I assume.

When do the regular acceptance letters come out? Thank you

Has anyone else except CarterJHerman11 got an interview? How long does it usually take from the submission of application to the interview notification?

Hey! For those who completed the interview, how was it ? What are some things they asked you guys ?

@Felix21 it was alright, Ms.Stach is super nice, it was a very casual conversation. Nothing to totally stress over.

@CarterJHerman11 Weeww, thats relieving to know  Thanks for the heads up. Also, what are some questions Ms.Stach asked you. What did it pertain to ?

@Felix21 she want’s to get to know you more, so she asks questions specific to your application.

I’m really nervous! Can anyone who got in give me their stats so I know how i stack up? Could anyone possible chance me http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/1855390-chances-at-getting-into-mit-launch-2016.html#latest?
Thank you all so much <3

@CarterJHerman11 did they mention if there were any other interviews? Did they say anything about the general timeline of the application process?

@anliu1999 I also got an interview, I did early action and got a notification for the interview during the first week of January. The interview was pretty casual and Ms.Stach was nice.

@idratherbecoding when did you submit your app?

@idratherbecoding When did you submit your application??

@anliu1999 and @mitstate December 27 (ik, i procrastinated)

@idratherbecoding would you mind linking your video?

@mitstate We ask for a transcript in the application because we want to verify that you are challenging yourself (and succeeding!) at school and making the most of the academic opportunities that you have. A rigorous course on your transcript and demonstrated helps to show how you might handle the rigorous course load of MIT Launch.

@timallen There is no way to know when your application has been viewed. All early applicants will receive their admissions notifications Feb 20.

@Momofmax Regular admissions decisions come out April 15

I was offered an interview January 5, had it this past Thursday.

Does anyone know where the team is located? I’m checking the analytics on my video and it’s all from California, so I’m hoping this means they haven’t looked at it yet?

Would it be helpful or harmful to include awards and past achievements in the video application?
