I just wore a normal Jacket for my interview as I have all t-shirts which I wear everyday in my public school. I saved money by not buying a shirt, trouser and a tie for an online interview as I did not want to put any immediate burden on my parents. I hope it will not be a deciding a factor in selection of a candidate since deserving students come from all kinds of families as even MIT is offering financial aid to low income deserving students. My height & weight is also changing fast in high school, so will certainly buy them in June to wear them at MIT.
Are graduate students also eligible for MIT Launch summer program?

Would it be a bad idea to make the video part of the application humorous? I initially planned to but after seeing that all of the applications are of people sitting down and talking I’m not so sure.

Another Q.
My father’s Social Security Number is 11 digits long (because it is from Mx). When I want to continue with he financial need application, a message appears that the social security number must be of 9 digits, (which I assume is the length of the U.S. S.S. number), but the mexican S.S. number is 11 digits long. How do I proceed?

I have a question what if you don’t turn in the application Fee Waiver at least a week prior to the deadline ? what if i turn it in 6 days before the deadline?
Hi @anniemit, I was wondering how to enter scores like SAT, ACT, and PSAT scores for MIT Launch? My grades, in my opinion, would be complemented by my test scores, and I would really like to include them! Thank you and I look forward to your response!
@Saumesh Don’t worry! A t-shirt is totally fine! Dressing up in a suit will not increase your chances of getting in, and just dressing casual will not hinder your chances. The interview is based on content of what you have done and what you have to say, not what you look like or what circumstances you come from! You are absolutely right, at MIT Launch we also believe that deserving students come from all backgrounds.
@callmeAman Hello! Thanks for your interest, but this program is offered only to high school students at this time.
@janellelove We do not ask for standardized test scores because we do not consider them in our admissions process. We don’t think standardized test scores tell us what we would really like to know about you as an applicant, and not all applicants have these test scores at the time of applying, so it is really not necessary to send test scores.
@anniemit Are all the early admission decision communicated. Will those applicant also be notified who have not been selected
The application says you can put in 5 activities but in the application I only see one. If I put in one activity does it pop up the other 4?
@ds98104 Yes, the app. allows you to add up to 5 activities and they pop up as you fill them up.

Hey guys ! I noticed some strange things with the analytics from my YouTube video. I got views from Maryland around the 10th of January and then others two weeks ago from Massachusetts … Isn’t that kind of too late considering I applied for early admissions ?

@everyone Don’t let your YouTube analytics freak you out. Yes, MIT Launch is an MIT program. No, the team and admissions committee does not necessarily stay on the MIT campus 365 days a year, nor do we necessarily watch every video from Massachusetts. Every application gets reviewed multiple times, your YouTube analytics are not going to reveal much about your admissions decision or where your application is in the admissions review process.
Early Admissions results are tomorrow, who else is worried?
