frank3193,
I am an international EC (actually the regional chair of my region). As a result, I have posted quite a bit over the years about what to expect from the interview. Feel free to search my posts for any questions you have. If you have any others, or are unclear of anything, I am happy to answer them here.

does anyone have advice for being interviewed by MIT alumni that graduated many many (think fifty-sixty) years ago? as I understand it, the interviewer for my school graduated in the 1950s, as is a very nice man but isn’t as well acquainted with the current MIT. I love MIT for its student culture and generally all the characteristics listed on the admissions’ “match” page, so I’m worried that if I talk about student culture he wouldn’t be as familiar with it? is this something I shouldn’t worry about? any other advice?

Have you read The Match page? Yes, MIT’s culture and subcultures have changed over the years (from my chats with cruft, anyway), but the things in “The Match” are common threads in the experience. Creativity, risk, cooperation - these are not new traits in MIT’s culture.
