Hi guys. I am wandering how hard it is comparing the admission into MIT Master and PhD program. I heard applying Master is a lot of easier than to PhD, (of course no funding probably). I graduate with over 3.8 from Columbia with a few research and work experience. I am waiting to take GRE soon but my verbal might be suck. I am a big fan of MIT engineering but may be perhaps i don't want a PhD at this moment. Maybe other program I also wish to try are
- Stanford
- U Penn
- Caltech
- Columbia
- CMU
- Penn State
- Cornell
Where is my chance? Any MIT can inform me? or any suggestion for good Meche Engr program around East Coast? Thank a billion.

Georgia Tech is better than some of the ones you listed up there. a little south of where you're looking though.

Yeah, take a look at Georgia Tech's master program in mechanical engineering, if you don't mind the location. Good luck!

Georgia Tech.. But i want to know my chance of going into those programs. THanks

Can't chance you just by looking at your GPA. I mean, your GPA is on the high-end but what's your GRE score?

I am taking GRE soon and applying the school for Fall 2009.

hm....are you an international student who earned a bachelors at columbia?

yes correct
