I'll be there all day too. Psych, US History, and English Lang. Perhaps we'll meet?

uhh,, how do u be in MESA?

i'm going to check my mailbox today after school and at 4 PM.lol. it should reach CT by today or tomorrow...i'm the only one from my school to apply, both NJ and CT.

Lzhang, r u kidding? 7 page rec??? Is the longer the rec, the better? I think I did well on my essays though I tried to tell much about stuff on only 1/2-3/4 of a page, single spaced. (it said 300 words limit?)

Uh well Idk how the MESA program runs in other states or regions but essentially there are 7 states I believe that are in the MESA program in the United States, for the Central California Region you have to compete through a school that has the program in it, it doesn't mean that you have to go to that school to be in the program, the school just has to agree to sign you up as a club/program member.

what u do really in MESA? is it something like Science Olympiad?

Yea, my chem teacher wrote it for me. I dunno if longer is better, but if the teacher has a lot of to say about you then it is a good thing.
So I'm guessing that MITES sends a big packet of stuff if you get in and a small letter if you are rejected. Unless its first class mail, it might take a while for whoever is shipping it to pack and send(I think). So will the reply really come today?

i think my recs are pretty good, though not a story-ish. My math teacher said a lot of stuff aobut me, with few storeis to back up, all in one and half pages.
yeah, it seems logical that if u got in, u would get a big packet of stuff.
could be. if they sent out two days ago, and i live in CT, the mail could be today or tomorrow.

well, i checked my mail today and saw this huge packet in my mailbox. So I freaked out and thought that it was from MITES. Incidentally it started pouring outside when I was getting the mail. The package was stuck in the mailbox, and it was not until later that I found out that it was an ultra elaborate hardcovered brochure from Mississippi state... so hopefully tomorrow?

^ haha that's funny

lol Izhang the same thing happened to me except for the rain. I was excited for a second but that quickly faded when i found out it was something for my dad.

Omg I Got In!

really? you got your letter today? Was it a big package? Or did you ask them by email? If I remember right they have a yearbook sent along as well, and it has everyone who's accepted on there...

really????? tell me the details!!!!! is it big or small?????? which state do u live????

:D i'm thinking dirrrttyyy thoughts.

trust me i've said dirtier things before.

anyways, congrats!!!! stats plz

I would say that it should be nice and big, but not big enough that it gets stuck in the mail box.
Yea, Shadman, gives us your stat please

congrats shadman. Does a program book with all the participants really come with the acceptance letter? So if i give you my name you can check if i got in. SWEEET.

Man oh man, if someone got it, it means that we will get a letter any day now.
Oh gosh i'm excited, even if i don't get in, i'd be nice to finally know.
