^ No offense, but it seems like if you haven't gotten anything yet you were rejected. Welcome to the club. :/

I hope someone gets in today and break that possibility.

who else besides me and those that already found out the decision have not receive the mail?

nope still havent got anything yet...and did anyone else get a letter from MIT last month saying that they were really interested in them sent from the Director of Minority Recruitment?

Location: VA

no i did not. But asians aren't exactly minorities at MIT.

Wait...

"I guess they pay great attention to essays because I bsed mine and my stats are pretty high compared to others on this thread. (no offense)"

"I'm worried too that my stats are way too high."

Wait! Are you telling me that you can be TOO qualified for MITES? Is this not the program I signed up for?

"and did anyone else get a letter from MIT last month saying that they were really interested in them sent from the Director of Minority Recruitment?"

Nope - you should feel lucky. I don't think MIT really wants me, maybe just for MITES but then they'll let me go.

does anyone know what the rejection letter looks like?
is it a big white envelope? or just a small one?

anyone know if someone made the waiting list?

rejection letter is small white evenlope. got it today. oh wel.....at least I have another summer program to go to.

for the people that got accepted, when do you guys have to reply by?

Tt has to be postmarked by Friday.

well guys the deal with me is that i do live on miami beach, and it may seem like i was, but mail here typically takes another day or two to arrive for whatever reason.

but who knows maybe you dudes are right, maybe we're not in.
we're all still great kids, best of luck to all when applying to college next year.

and plus, theres an influx of rejections and acceptances, i don't think because you haven't gotten it yet necessarily means you didn't get it.
keep your heads up.

Good to know that we have another optimist here.
Can the accepted take a look at their mites envelope and tell me what class of mail is it? And can someone who was not accepted tell me the class of mail that they had.
IF the classes are different, then its bad news...if not then we still have hope

ummm, lol, how can you tell if it's first class or not? The stamp just says $1.14 mailed from 02139 on 04/09/2008. hoped this helped :D

not necessarily, postage takes different amounts of times to reach certain areas. thats why you should always allow for a range.

someone accepted please tell us what the envelope looks like. thank you guys

what does it look like?

it would have first class stamped on the corner if it were first class. its probably just a large envelope

i have presorted first class----rejection letter.

so if they were both first class, it doesn't matter. we can't tell yet.

optomism please.

Well, it doesn't say first class. just a big white envelope.
