^Don't feel sucky.
Of course the grass is greener on the other side, but you know the water billls are higher too...

^Haha that was funny, I might have to steal that one.

those are pretty good stats refugee. I'd say that you would have a good chance getting in.
sakura, I'm taking that phrase too if you don't mind.

sakura!! nice saying!! a new twist on a common saying! did u think of that one up?
hmmm..my stats don't look too good compared ot that one....but still i'm a minority in more than one ways....

I'm not sure if thought of it, but I'm pretty sure i'm the only person that has it as a saying on their personal business card.

I applied to a few at Notre Dame...those are my contingency plans. The waiting is just about killing me! Did anyone else get the letter from the director of minority recruitment?

wow thanks guys, a lot of you guys have really impressed me too.
this wait is nerve-wrecking. I wanna know already!

I think I've waited so long that the nerve-wrecking-ness has already dissipated.

^me too. My anticipation index dropped a couple hundred

Being back at school has helped a bit. I think if the RSI kids get to know if they got in, we should too! : )

what? RSI people already got their replies? No fair! ...I can already see the rivalry that will take place between MITES and RSI.

just think of it this way..
if they got told.
it was only because obviously their applicant pool wasn't as competitive as the MITES one

wait, you mean MITES applicants are more competitive than the RSI ppl?? I thought it was the other way around, otherwise, i would have appplied to RSI!!!

I don't think sakura meant it in a literal sense. Its just like her quote.

Decision: Accepted!!!

OMG OMG OMG I'm freaking out!!!! Happiest day of my life!!!!!

April Fools! (I'm bored)

Seriously....how long will it take to give out the decisions MIT? College decisions are already over and you can't even send decisions for a freaking summer program!!!!

man friedrice, you got me there. For a second my anticipation meter went up a thousand-fold. And then I saw the next post...dang I forgot today is April fools-its so lame that I fooled by a forum post....

i'm colombian, what are the chancwes that I can get in with ap math and economics?

^
MIT MITES is only for U.S. Citizens and permanent residents. They do not accept internationals.

Also, taking any AP classes is good, but there's also many other factors like race, family income, GPA, and test scores

well, paesguerra must have already submitted his app w/o problems if he's asking at this point in time. I guess by colombian he meant that he is a permanent resident but is from colombia.
But, paesguerra, just telling us that you are colombian and that you take two AP won't help us decide whether u can get in. If you look at the people's stats from before, you should see that Ex. activities and awards(as well as what friedrice listed) are also very important-Not to mention your essays and teacher rec.
