<li><p>Do we post courses we are currently taking or have taken over the summer that are not on the transcipt (eg. community college courses)?</p></li>

<p>Research Writing could definitely go under English. </p>
<p>You could list courses you’ve taken outside your high school either here or elsewhere (e.g. in the “anything else you’d like to tell us” space). You should also have the community college send an official transcript to MIT, particularly if those courses/grades are not listed on your high school transcript.</p>
<p>Another question: Do we put courses we are currently in (12th grade)?</p>
<p>Yes, those should be listed as well.</p>
<p>If “Research Writing” is a course at a university, it is within whatever department it is listed under. If it’s not listed under English, Literature, or Writing, I would ask someone at the admissions office before asking them for a recommendation letter.</p>
