MIT Sloan

There was a time where it was weird to be an MIT undergrad with business as a primary major (as opposed to a second major, which was more popular), despite the fact that Sloan was always high-rated.

However, these days there are many people that come to MIT to major in business. There aren’t many top colleges that offer a business major. The ivies don’t. So that makes MIT make a bit more sense as a business major.

Wharton-business is #1. No question. However, I think in terms of opportunities Sloan (MIT) outranks Stern, just because many Wall Street and consulting jobs heavily favor if not outright require the HYPM or Wharton name.

This is what I’ve heard from my friends in business and I don’t have specific knowledge of Stern or experience in business myself, so naturally I defer to those with more primary experience in this area.
