MIT THINK Scholars Program

Is anyone applying? I am planning to apply next year, so any advice is appreciated.

Also, would it be wise to put this on a College App for another university like HYPS?

^if you are accepted and participate

Even if you successfully complete the program, do you think the Adcom might get the impression that you’re interested in MIT more than the school you’re applying to?

Not necessarily. Several universities offer summer programs. Adcoms want to see you take advantage of (reputable) summer programs and do not assume that you want to attend the school that held the program. If you are concerned about that though, then make sure you indicate why you want to attend that school and not (MIT) the school that held the program.

Okay, thanks! Anyone applying for the 2014 Program?

I am. Bout to submit tmrow

I have applied as well. ddeisadz, what was your project proposal on?

@indianboy2400 Ill pm you.

Hey, do you guys know when the results come out? Will they come out on Monday even though it is a holiday?

Since I’m not applying this year, I have no idea. However, I’m sure you will be contacted soon if your proposal was selected.

Are the results out yet?

Didn’t get in…Oh well

well this was unexpected :F
does anyone know how MIT Think ranks? is it considered a “significant” award

also @Nanotech123
Find a simple idea to work with, doesn’t need to be overtly complex. If you see the results the ones that won weren’t that complicated but the ones that got honorable mention i didn’t even know what they were and I had to google them

@5oviet Thank you.

Seeing as I won (so I guess I do know what I’m doing ) I can help you out if you wish LOLits awhile from now but yeah
