Both MIT and CMU are so difficult to get into that it’s probably best to apply to both, see where you get in, and then decide since chances are that you won’t get into both.

But if you do get into both, you will probably want to compare factors outside of the CS department, like what the social life is, whether you’d rather live in Boston or Pittsburgh, or financial aid stuff. Also, if you care enough there are slight differences in the specifics of the CS programs at both schools, but I’m not sure if this is enough to conclusively pick one over the other.

I’d just like to point out that Tony Stark went to MIT. (I have a soft spot in my heart for Iron Man, as my husband the MIT-educated aerospace engineer secretly believes he is Tony Stark.)

I would also like to point out that Iron Man would clearly win…while Robocop wins in the guns department, we have clearly seen in Iron Man II that Tony Stark can beat a large number of bad guys no matter how overweaponized they are. Furthermore, Robocop was built in the 80s, whereas Iron Man hails from the modern day.

Additionally, Iron Man was built to military standards! Robocop was only an agent of the LAPD. That’s like asking who would win in a fight, a cop car or an F18. Let’s get serious, here. Iron Man dominates.
