saturnVroketo -- $21,000 more over four years, or each year?

4 years... it's so much..

21k over 4 years is peanuts (if manageable) for an MIT education. Go for it.

21k over 4 years... that's like $5k per year more. You can easily work that off with a part-time internship during the school year or summer internship.

Good luck! Congrats on your MIT waiting list admittance! It is so impressive!

Both are great schools, i would prefer MIT over cooper union due to its name. Ultimately, you want to end up at MIT, take loans and eventually pay if off. The faster you get there, the better it will be for you in the future.

^This thread is two years old lol…

Some ppl are crazy

only roughly 2% of the people on waiting list was accepted in 2009 i believe.
I would definitely go for cooper union because first, cooper union offers free tuition, second, which is a pretty good deal unless you got that money… Second of all,MIT undergrad is extremely competitive compare to cooper union, though both are really rigorous. Last thing is that cooper union is located at manhattan. manhattan is very convenient and you’ll never get bored=D
but that’s just me. maybe other people have different opinions
