MIT vs. Stanford

I plan to do engineering for my undergrad, and for grad do business. Which school for undergrad (MIT/stanford) will be better for my path?

Have you have been accepted to both already? If not, it is rather pointless to be deciding between them. Chances are the decision will be made for you.

I've been accepted early to one, but it'd be nice to see which college would be better for me, and whether I need to go through the application process for regular admissions.

A comp sci/engineering degree from MIT is one of the most marketable degrees around, but, in terms of everything, Stanford is better (JMO). I'd go to Stanford everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Both schools are so good that the decision is all about fit.

In fact these are my top two choices.

Some people say Stanford is better since it gives you a more well rounded education and there is a better network of people in the businessworld.

But MIT seems better in terms of engineering.

Well of course MIT is synonymous with engineering and congratulations on your acceptance.

But at this level you can't go wrong with either. I think you already know this, or at least you should.

So I agree it's about fit. Visit, spend the night, see if you can visualize yourself there for 4 years.
