Which school is better? I am thinking about majoring in engineering. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is very selective and very good acedemically, but is expensive. The University of Virginia is also selective and good acedemically, and is also expensive. The University of Maryland is no where near as selective, and is not as great acedemically. But, both MIT and UVA are both Out Of State while UMD is In State. In my case, cost is a factor.

MIT is great if you: 1) love pressure 2)are certain 100% dead sure you will not want to swap out of math/engineering 3) are not very interested in liberal arts 4)can afford it
UMd is great if you 1) want to save money 2) can cope with a HUGE campus
IN either case, learn to spell academically!
