Mit Wtp 2008

ooh..i just realized that i copied my PSAT scores and the photocopy didn't have my name (all the way in the corner). darn, shoudl i resend it?

haha reminiscing about my last year app...my question 3 was on solving the rubik's cube :P dorky I know

@Narcissa: It really shouldn't matter. They seem kind of against the whole "checking applications" thing.
My answer would be to let it slide-your stats are way strong enough to go without a PSAT score.

Otherwise, you could probably just send them an email in a couple of days, after they've received your app.

lol well they didn't say anything about especially including my name :P so i just make a photocopy that had the name part cut off >.< oh well i hope they know that we're all honest ^_^

and are they going to notify us if they recieve our app?

they'll notify you only if you included a SASE with your app-they specifically said that they wouldn't notify receipt of application (or acceptance, for that matter) by email or phone.

^ooh i didn't 0.o oops i don't read directions. oh well =/
i hate reading directions and test questions after i've handed it in...lol

haha omg guess what i have 1337 posts!

here's a link to the 2007 Handbook that was sent out with the acceptances to WTP 2007: http://wtp.mit.edu/General%20WTP2007Info.pdf

This gives a great overview of the logistical side of WTP...and makes me want to go even more...sigh.

hi everyoneeeeeeeeee wow did u take the AMCs

omg and i love food cards!!!!!!

do not bring cars..lmao

I took the AMC 12 last year...bad idea...I'm not much of a math competitor.

food cards...ah the memories :P

you stop caring about prices with those. seriously, it's kinda bad i guess because you get into a habit of just buying things (starbucks doubleshots, vitaminwater, sunchips, cheez-its, Au Bon Pain sandwiches/salads/wraps, sushi, bubble tea @ the Stata Center EVERYDAY, etc.) without regard to price.

and then reality hits back home when you don't have the wonderful MIT swipe card.

I got my SASE back-they say they have my completed app...now just to wait around 57 more days! argh!

they seriously have bubble tea at the Stata Center? Excellent! Is it from an actual bubble tea store/stand, or is it just part of the food court?

wwow, now i'm worried mine get lost in the mail

and since i didn't have a SASE, i guess i shall never know.

and lol..the food cards. how much $$ do u get? :]

the bubble tea at Stata isn't part of the food court, it's kinda part of a coffee shop thing- they offer either black tea or green tea

at the student center though, on the floor second floor with the food court, there's an asian restaurant that sells bubble tea in like every flavor imaginable. they have one of those nifty machines that seals the cup too lol so you can shake it and it won't spill :P

@ Narcissa: If I remember correctly, we got $500 on our cards. And they provide breakfast cereals in the kitchen and we had catered lunches a few times too when we had guest speakers over lunch. The $500 is more than enough- I'm not sure if anyone actually maxed out their cards...you'd have to really really try hard.

and OMG it makes me wanna go so bad xD

but what kind of person spends $500 on food?

Well, it's nice to know we won't be hungry.

...if we get in....dun dunnnnnn....

i bet i got rejected, my essays sux

Eh, it's cool. They'll know if you really want to be there or not.
