Mit Wtp 2008

OMG i love MIT! i visited a few summers ago, and then again last year. it's absolutely beautiful ^_^ i know a lot of people hate its campus, but i love it!

i like the campus too
i think it's funny though how they have a lot of old looking buildings and then a few crazy modern ones
it was so cold though!

haha i bet boston has CRAZY weather!
i live around there...so yeah. (actually not really) =P i went during my spring break once, and there were lots of students there, and i was like 0.o OMG SMART PEOPLE!

haha yeah it snowed like the whole time
but i had so much fun

cough making me wanna go a lot!!! i shall cease with MIT talk

I just went to American Eagle and tried on these really awesome and flattering shorts (I don't go to the mall very often, just so you know, but I appreciate it) and I thought "if I get into WTP, I'm going to buy these shorts and take them to Boston."

lol omg i had to buy like $100 pants once.............it was an emergency

haha yeah i got this really cute dress
i hope i get in so i can wear it!

I love how this discussion would totally not even be brought up on the RSI board....too many boys.

i have LOTS of cute dresses that i don't wear cuz it's winter and i can only wear them in the summer. however, summer vacation = pointless to wear cute stuff if all you're going to do is stay at home. so it would be cool if i could wear them :)

Also, since it is indeed the annual Free Slurpee Day on July 11th, we could take full advantage of that too.

mmm....slurpees...

Peach Chardonnay:
So dresses is just for show to other people?
I thought girls buy clothes just to show it to themselves.

I attended WTP in 2006 and am currently a freshman at MIT.

send me any questions you have about the program or being at MIT.

WTP doesnt pay attention to ethnic background or financial need in choosing applicants.

i have no interest in telling you whether you are qualified or not, so dont ask me that.

i hope yall didnt lie on your application. if youre overqualified, not only will you be bored and wasting your time, you will be taking the spot of someone who could benefit from the program.

^^

How much time are you given just to explore the buildings at MIT? Is it possible to go exploring (always staying on campus) alone?

burnitblue: I attended WTP in 2006, and like Reaching am a current freshman at MIT. WTP encourages you to explore MIT and Boston, but always with other people. Even at MIT, the hackers (people who like to explore the campus) always "hack" in pairs. It is just common sense.

But to answer your question, you will definitely get the time to run around MIT, don't worry :]

If any of you have any other questions (don't ask if you're qualified) about the program or MIT, just send me a message

I think we got past the "are we qualified" stage a little while ago, what with the application deadline and all, so the only thing we can do is wait!

Now the question is "I know I'm qualified-will they pick me?" :D

only around 26 more days, you guys!

Victory is at hand!

oh wow. time to get my first of a long list of rejections!! haha jk, i hope not =P

anyone still here? haha ^ i posted on PI DAY!!! :D

Yeah, it's just that there's nothing to say until decisions are out.
