oh my god, that would be so much worse if she told me i got in and then i realized i didn't really
april fools day is horrible, i can never pull jokes on anyone

^lol, well ppl don't say u got in when u didn't because that would be HORRIBLE. people do, however, say that u got rejected but .. as a joke .. like that guy whose friend sent him an email saying he got rejected at penn or something :]

Okay so it seems that im late on the bonding boat.
but HI!
because i applied to WTP too... and now i just feel left out... =P

april fools rejection letter? now thats just wrong...

throwing a water balloon at the teacher, okay
pretending to get arrested, okay
telling someone they had an accident and asking if its that time of month... , okay
sending a fake rejection letter, NOT OKAY...

okay so i just read up on everyone else and feel totally intimidated...

i wrote my essay about koi breeding.. and imperial japan?!?!?!?!

Hey tingting!

There's still time to get on the bonding boat, no worries.

Imperial Japan? That's seriously way cool. I've always wanted to take a Japanese history class, because it's so fascinating.

Was that what your "do for fun" essay was about?

breeding koi... i talked about how it was super hard and you have to keep the balance just right... i accidentally murdered 50+ baby fish because i was new at it

what about you?

for the second essay i wrote about a group project that we did on imperial Japan and how it was super collaborative but i didn't learn too much...

that problably wasn't that best idea...

For the for fun essay, I wrote entirely about how much I suck at tennis. :)

wanna share essays thru PM or something? since everyone's done applying.

gosh, I don't even want to open the word documents again...I'm afraid I'll realize something went wrong or something I could have done to make it better.

One week until the letters are mailed out!

=[ lol. if it takes like ~5 days for mail to arrive we would get them like the 15th? ^_^

oh btw what do u guys think is wtp better than ssp (the cali/nm one)? :)

DUDE. i have no idea how you guys are all like thinking about this thing so much..

the only thing going through my mind is
AP TESTING IS IN 4 WEEKS.
CRAP.

lol AP testing? pshhhhhhhh.

Whoa, are AP tests really in 4 weeks? Oy.

Hey ducktape!

AP testing is in 4 weeks, my three freaking SAT IIs (including the two I'll need to apply to MIT and thus am freaking out the most about) are in exactly a month! Gah!

And I think WTP beats the pants off of SSP. But hey, if you want to go there more, I'm sure the waitlisted kids wouldn't mind ;)

Ooo, yeah, I tried to avoid doing the SAT-II-before-AP-Tests thing. I'll admit to taking US History, but it was sort of a psychological thing to force myself to study prior to the night before the AP test. Didn't work so well. ;)

i dont study for APs :)

[/quote]
lol, elaborate :]

Just that it's at MIT instead of the middle of Arizona/middle of California, it's about EECS and ME instead of physics and astronomy, it's all girls, it's in a metropolitan area, it's at a college instead of a boarding school...etc.

The fact it's at MIT is the biggest draw for me, apart from the actual content of the program. (I'm more of a biology nerd myself)

lol the SSP decisions are out; when will these come!!!! lol

Did you get into SSP?

I'm at the stage where I just hope I have a chance of getting at least waitlisted at WTP...being rejected wouldn't ruin my summer, but being accepted would make it very awesome.
