<p>Okay, so I just found out that MIT has a lab devoted to what I think might be my nerdy little passion. Biomechatronics <3
Thing is... that's MIT.
I'm a junior in High School right now and the last time I took an SAT (in sophomore year) my math score was nothing to be celebrated.
Since then I've not only taken a Calculus class that reminded me of all the stupid math rules, but an insane AP Physics course that has also challenge my math skills.<br>
I'm almost positive I can get my SAT Math score up high, but MIT seems like it might be an unrealistic goal with my high school record. I don't make all A's, except for in math and science classes. Which I started taking AP in my 10th grade year. I just really doubt if all I'm doing will be enough to be competitive with others applying to MIT.
I'm very bright, and if somebody will show me how to do something and really explain it, I can do it a million times, no problem. There's no real way to communicate that to a school with prestige like MIT has if you're not some mathematical genius.
Do I have any chance at all? What can I do?</p>
<p>First, you didn’t actually give ANY information for a chance. So, whatever value chance threads have in general is now lost.</p>
<p>I suggest you head over to the MIT forum here in CC([Massachusetts</a> Institute of Technology - College Confidential](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/massachusetts-institute-technology/]Massachusetts”>Massachusetts Institute of Technology - College Confidential Forums)). You should also read up on some of the stuff MITChris, an admissions worker at MIT, has said (<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/massachusetts-institute-technology/941045-mit-faq-application-year-2010-2011-answers-mitchris.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/massachusetts-institute-technology/941045-mit-faq-application-year-2010-2011-answers-mitchris.html</a>), along side other threads and posts of his.</p>
<p>Anyway, no one knows if you’ll be accepted. Just try to do your best.</p>
<p>Oops sorry
I assumed the chance category would have to do with do you have any chance of getting in… hahah dumb.
I love it when I don’t read important information. Thank you.</p>
