APs:

4's - Language and Composition

All my courses in school apart from 3 or so are Honors or AP courses.

SAT 2 scores?

what about your SAT IIs, better take those.
but I think you have a pretty good chance, but then you're a dude, and MIT loves girls.

I think that you're a good match for MIT, but your chance is 50/50, depends on your luck

You're definitely qualified, but for MIT, it's still a reach, because it's MIT.

AMC and AIME?

Good SAT, Good Rank, Good ECs. You need to take some SAT II's but I have faith that you will do well in them by look at your academic resume. MIT is a reach but an attainable one. Good Luck and look into some Ivies and other schools.

Please chance me at:
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=4333484%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=4333484</a></p>

Oh yes, I forgot to post my SAT II's... (I didn't have much time to post everything, heheh)

Math II: 800
Physics: 800
World History: 780

AMC: 124.5
AIME: 7

This year, I was 2.5 points away from the USAMO.

Also, here are the courses I've taken so far (High school):

9th, 10th Honors Language Arts, AP Language and Composition
Honors Biology
Honors Chemistry
AP Physics
French 2 (Honors isn't possible)
Honors French 3, 4
Honors Algebra
Honors Geometry
Honors Algebra II
Honors Precalculus
AP Calculus
IT Foundations
Political Science
Health
AP World History
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science A

Also, I'm Treasurer of my school Beta club (forgot to mention that).

Science Olympiad:

10th grade: 1st place regional - Experimental Design
2nd place regional - Compute This
3rd place regional - Remote Sensing
2nd place state - Compute This
2nd place state - Fermi Questions
11th grade: 1st place state - Fermi Questions

Ah, and I forgot for FBLA... 8th place Nationals in Java (happened two days ago, actually).

I'd say in at MIT.

What would you say about these colleges in particular:

CalTech
Princeton
Stanford
Georgia Tech
Duke University

Summer Activities:

9th: went to India and taught poor children English

10th: attended GHP (Governors Honors Program)

11th: attended ARML, National Beta Convention (2nd in Math, as above), National FBLA Conference (8th in Java, as above)

Science Olympiad isn't all that important. If you list all those regional awards, it may not necessarily look good. I think you're in Caltech, Duke, and Georgia Tech and have a good shot at the rest.

I think you have a good shot at all those schools above and a decent shot at MIT just because it is so hard to get into. If you wouldnt mind please comment on my chances <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=365470%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=365470</a></p>

thanks

I also play piano (8 years), and violin (5 years). I have won a local piano competition ($20) and have achieved the superior rating in piano festival for six years. I have also played for numerous concerts for violin.
