How many people are applying to MITE2S this year? I was just wondering how competitive the applicant pool is...

Anyway, what made MITE2S an exceptional experience? Any comments on course load and what people did during their free time would be appreciated.

Come on...other people must have applied (no offense iriseyes...)!

Can people post stats (although I am not a big fan)? Or at least expectations? Your essay topics? Anything? I need some vantage point...or else I will melt of anxiety before April!

I am a Latina (could of guessed from the name, right?) in a very competitive high school in new york city. Not so good on the PSAT's (80 M, 74 CR, 65 W), some leadership positions in clubs, all the usual stuff. However, I am bilingual and had the language barrier thingy-poo for one of my essays...I wonder if they care?

i agree with SWohns. The PSAT scores are lots higher than mine were. The MITES (the other E is no longer part of it) people are super friendly and there will be this one lady that you will love when/if you go. She is alqays smiling and has an open door (with welcoming candy). :) MITES 06 btw.

Well, the PSAT scores weren't as high as I wanted them to be (around 225)...

I was just wondering, naasian, how many non-minority people were there? I just do not like it when very competitive kids with more opportunities make the program so much harder to get into for the target applicants (namely, blacks, latinos, and Native Americans).

Oh, and how were the class discussions (if there were any) in the courses?
