<p>I meant a 100% is a 4.0. Consequently, no one has ever had a 4.0</p>
<p>Each of our classes’s final grades get averaged. </p>
<p>100-97 is an A+ = 4.0
93-96 is an A = 3.7
90-92 is an A- = 3.3</p>

<p>Wow, that’s interesting. It is cool to see the broad difference from one high school to the next. So, when do you think we will get our fat letters?!? My birthday is on the 14th, hopefully the letter will be a nice birthday surprise.</p>

<p>I won’t tell anyone. The Val (well I think he dropped) at my school wants to go to MIT and he’d be all like “why didn’t you tell me!?” we aren’t even friends. And he’d be all “you only got in because you’re black” even though the program is for non-whites mainly. </p>
<p>I don’t want to tell anyone where I get accepted to college either. They’ll say I only got in because I’m black. But I’m ranked higher than 98% of my school…but jealous people don’t care.</p>
<p>Thats the exact comment people will make when i got to school and tell people. IF im accepted D:</p>
<p>Personally, that doesn’t bother me. I can always say “I got into MIT, you didn’t thereby making me better than you.” I don’t actually believe that, but I’d probably be irritated enough to say it.</p>
<p>This program doesn’t just accept minorities does it? Like are there some Caucasians that are accepted as well?</p>
<p>Plus, I’m not going to stifle my achievements because of other people’s ignorant comments.</p>
<p>It’s for minorities. It accepts maybe one or 2 (or 4 at max, someone from previous years told me) whites/asians. </p>
<p>No reason to get discouraged.</p>
