I’m taking programming at CC too… But I couldn’t send my transcript because it started after the deadline, and we have no grades yet.
But I made sure to mention it in my essays (which I really liked, but I think I made a typo on one
)

no i’m in ap calc bc right now, and my school has enough talented and interested people to offer calc III to seniors, so i’m taking it next year…but actually i don’t think the mites people will know that…

and kevin, you totally made my day (: that could have been a total lie and it would have made me feel better and calm my nerves. hm. now i have to concentrate on more pressing issues, like homework, ew.

bleh…I’m not a URM, but i don’t have money lying around for me to go to some summer program like Stanford’s either…

I know of this one person who is also applying to MITES this year and apparently, this person got a 2400 on the SAT as well as a 240 on the PSAT… :(

People like that make me angry^^
i hate on these boards how people complain about getting 2200+
I wish I could get that… Thats my goal if I ever take it again (ACT seems better).

I know right? But you know what’s worse is that that person’s mother is friends with my mom, so my mom is always asking me why I don’t do as well as that person…and it’s kinda getting on my nerves

i agree that complaining about a 2200+ is annoying cause that’s an awesome score, but if people are saying that they know they could do better, then i feel like it’s okay. exampe: i took the sat last may and hadn’t really studied, and came out with a 2250. now I know i can do better than that if i actually try, plus my english teacher this year is a boss and really helped a lot. so if i know i can improve it, then why not try?

but 2400 and 240 is kinda insane :P

^^ oct I got 1940

Shooting for 33 ACT

good luck on the act (: i haven’t taken it

Thanks. I’m scared for that & the SAT math 2 & physics 2

last year i took bio and us history for satII. bio was good, 760, and ush was ehh, 680. this year i’ll probably do math 2 and chemistry.

so scaredddd

Do you both go to IB schools?

no, we don’t have IB at my school. it’s in a small little town with 950 students in all. i don’t think we’ve ever broken 1,000

Here are my stats:
GPA- 3.43
Class rank - 59/412
SAT math - 670
SAT reading - 670
SAT writing - 600
SAT total - 1940
Ethnicity: Ukrainian, Low-income family
Activities: FIRST robotics, debate

My stats aren’t so great, but I’m still applying! Stay positive, everybody.

It just seems weird to me that you have taken so many standardized tests as a junior. At my school, people never take SAT or any other test before junior year (except for the required PSAT as a sophomore).

jmcrusader^^ neither do mine. you have to be ambitious.
the GC will tell you take the SAT in june then sept of senior year… i got a better score than people ranked higher than me, and i think it’s PARTLY because of practice (took four times- 7,8,10,11 grade).

mystic1knight^ we have the same SAT total!!! but mine were M-620 ouch CR-670 W-650

I had no idea that you could take SAT at that young of an age

yes you could. i got a certificate from the jhu talent search thing.
when you sign up they have a grade where it goes as low as 7 i think, and if you’re younger you have to go through a program like jhu

ok, there is this other person I know, who took the SAT in 7th grade and got a 2400 O___O

A lot of people I know are insane…
