Haha I think it was.

I didn’t check this thread at all yesterday, so imagine how i felt after seeing 6 new pages of posts! I think this thread will reach 100 pages before April comes…

Anyway, heres my intro:

interests: physics, chemistry, math (duh), music theory and composition, computers (programming and engineering, although I don’t have much formal experience in either)

major: electrical engineering/computer science, music engineering, maybe a minor in music performance/education?

hobbies: video games (I’m an Xbox guy
), reading, web design (self taught on Dreamweaver), DCI!!!, marching band/winter percussion in general, playing percussion (my main instrument is the marimba, but I play all percussion instruments), Boston Crusaders (I gave up my spot this summer to apply to MITES, I hope I made the right choice)

music: most classic rock (Boston, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi… you get the jist), alternative rock, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, and I can tolerate modern R&B/rap

If we get in, would anyone be interested in going with me to Lynn to see a DCI show? I want to say hi to my friends at the Boston Crusaders :)

You all sound like such wonderful people ^_^

:D:D I love kPOP cw48912!! Big Bang ftw!!! wedding dress ^^ mystic1knight, the beatles are phenomenal! i did a cover of Let it Be, Hey Jude, and Imagine for a clarinet concert ^^

Interests: helping other people, robotics, science overall, music, slam poetry, written poetry, philosophy, constellations, youtube, the harp (it’s WAY too expensive to have one, but i would LOVE to start the harp in college).

Major: Electrical engineering ^_^

Minor: Music :)

Hobbies: helping other people, violin, clarinet, bass clarinet, piano (by ear, never had formal lessons), drawing (during philosophy class drawing hands, faces, and eyes helps me concentrate and think deeper), poetry slamming, poetry writing, planning events, making other people happy, listening to Sam Tsui on youtube, watching youtube, yoga, (used to love dancing, used to dance ballet semi-professionally 4+ hours every weeknight, and 8+ hours saturday and more on sunday, but I had to quit last year due to a medical condition… but now i keep my heart dancing by playing music), making video montages, 3D animating, photography

Music: I love mostly all music, but some of my favorite artists include… actually i couldn’t choose any specifically, but I love the Beatles. One of my favorite songs is Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Classically, one of my favorite songs is Hebrew Melody by Joseph Achron. It’s one of those songs that pull at your heart.

Hey guys, help me decide on a minor?

I want something fun and interesting, not necessarily major related.

Or maybe artificial intelligence or something.

for a minor, just choose something you are passionate about or extremely interested in. ![]()
I only chose a minor because I really don’t want to brush my love for music aside when I enter college.

Plus, we still have quite a while to decide a major/minor ^_^

and going to MITES can help us figure it out
yay MITES!

I’m afraid MITES might turn me off to computer science, although the program will be mainly engineering v

kay i already posted this on another thread so some of you probably saw it already but tell me what you think and how often these need to happen this summer cause i’m craving it:

i love when “parties” are considered to be a group of about twenty people playing board games such as risk, going outside at 11:30 (after curfew hehe) to play ghosts in the graveyard, having random dance parties where we all make fools of ourselves, and playing dirty charades (how might one act out “threesome in a library while a horse watches” or “seducing a potato”?)
^basically describes every saturday night during cross country season

What a coincidence! I just learned how to play Risk last night!
That does sound like a great time!
In my opinion, the best social get-togethers are the ones that you can actually remember…:)

@JamaicanMehCrazy ummm…I’m generally not a party person, so I would say not very often.

this thread is expanding insanely fast. Is everyone like off from school today or something? ヽ(#゚Д゚)ノ

I checked my email, just a minute ago and found 28 unread messages. Guess where 22 of those emails were from?

Yup, College Confidential!!
:D

Edit/Add: Wow, when I actually get on CC, no one responds. ಥ_ಥ

I stopped getting the emails when I subscribe. It was a better idea

i love partying, but the type of partying i described before. i just love to be crazy and have fun (:

I don’t know why, but I always start feeling a bit light-headed/dizzy at parties…:(

aw that’s silly/unfortunate.

@cw I noticed that earlier (like waaaaaay earlier), you used “kekekekeke” after posting starcraft 2 as one of your interests. Are you, by any chance, Korean?

@JamaicanMehCrazy silly? lol

i say silly for everything. it’s probably one of my most-used words.

now no one is posting anymore…

i’m here (: doing homework ): entertain me? (: …smiley face

hahaha I’m not much of an entertainer, but the MIT admission blogs are quite entertaining to read at times :D

I HATE WHEN I LOOK AT MY WATCH AT 11:08 AND THINK ‘OKAY, GOTTA MAKE A WISH SOON’ THEN I LOOK AT MY WATCH AGAIN AT 11:12. sorry. i had to let my frustration out.
