<p>You can schedule interviews as early as spring of jr year for Many schools.</p>
<p>Yeah, I’m a junior. They’re starting them in May.</p>
<p>For those who want to know a bit more about admission statistics for MITES,</p>
<p>They don’t release things like average SAT scores and average GPA anymore, so you’d have to look at the old information on the website for that. If I were to take a guess, it’d be around 1950-2050 and really close to 4.0 unweighted. In my class (MITES 2010), there were over 1200 applicants (who turned in a complete app), with somewhere between 70-80 being accepted. About five or so were offered a place from the waitlist to form our class of 71. There were 36 girls and 35 boys. As for number of girls and guys who applied, I don’t have that information.</p>
<p>Hope this helps those who were wondering about this. Good luck in a couple weeks! I remember being in your shoes; just as nervous. It really is an awesome opportunity.</p>

<p>I think that after your score reaches a certain point, anything higher
hurts your chances. MITES is designed to help aspiring engineers who need an extra boost, which is why lower scores may actually help you. It’s flip-flopped because it’s actually possible to be overqualified.</p>
