<p>so the real countdown begins…</p>
<p>My school is an underfunded non-competitive school in an uncompetitive state, yet this year, we had kids accepted to Duke, Cornell, Emory, and Brown.</p>
<p>Reading this just makes me more and more scared.</p>
<p>Plus, don’t get scared! Except, I’m super scared for admissions (to both college and MITES), to be honest…but I never let those thoughts pervade my mind.
And colleges are so fickle. I’m not sure what to think anymore. I almost feel jaded because I’ve been looking at CC for a while now and I’ve listening to my older peers who get in or don’t get in. I don’t know what to think anymore…
Depressing thoughts, over! Do we know what week they send in the results?! I’m excited to know if I’d get to meet any of you guys!!! :P</p>

<p>Did you guys apply to any other summer camps? results?</p>
<p>I applied to two others, but both their decisions also come out in April :/</p>
<p>I applied to STEP- UP, got in, but denied it… I’ll regret it later when/if I get rejected by the rest of my summer apps.</p>

<p>I applied to 3 summer camps, this, SSP, and a notre dame engineering thing. I got into the notre dame one and am waiting on the other two. Has anyone heard anything about the notre same summer engineering camp? It wasn’t hard to get into at all but I’m still wondering if it would be a decent 2 week program to get an intro to engineering since I’m expecting rejections from mites and SSP :P</p>
<p>Well, it does sound like I don’t fit MITES’ criteria: be a URM, come from disadvantaged background, make do with the lack of resources you have, etc. I think people who do fit those points are going to get accepted!</p>
<p>My summer plans are at risk! I applied to this and WTP, and probably should have picked other places too. If I don’t go to summer camp :(, I’m visiting China and Europe over the summer…</p>
<p>I applied to TASP and I got rejected. After I went back and read one of my essays, I knew why (at least one of the reasons why) XD</p>
<p>I also applied to some local Oklahoma stuff, and I’ve been accepted to everything so far… that’s not saying much, though.</p>
<p>I applied to EPGY, MITES, LEDA, and SSP. So far I’ve been accepted at EPGY so if all else fails at least I’ll be at Stanford during the summer :)</p>
<p>doesn’t everyone get into EPGY since it’s a program meant to profit?</p>
<p>Probably, but I got a scholarship to it so there’s no reason for me not to go lol.</p>
<p>How many days do you guys think we have until we find out?</p>
<p>My guess for the days until I receive my rejection: 18.</p>
<p>I’m glad we don’t have a concrete day of judgement; that way it’ll be a quick and painless rejection (or perhaps a wonderful surprise, but posters on summer program threads don’t express optimism too often…)</p>
<p>^Ha. I’m with you completely. Kind of what happened to me with TASP. E-mail just popped in during my Physics class, I opened it, and to my slight disappointment, I found out I was rejected. In the middle of class.</p>
<p>The bad thing about this is that there’s a chance that our parents will figure out the decision first DX</p>

<p>I hope I get in EA to MIT next year for 2 reasons:
- Because i love MIT
and - so I don’t have to go through this waiting again. Lol</p>
<p>Well, if I do get in MIT EA (technically we have a slightly better chance than RD kids b/c of showing our interest and whatnot) that means I don’t have to apply to a dozen schools during RD to make up for the void! I’d just apply to my other top 5 choices and force MIT to give me better fin aid! >:)</p>
<p>Anyone else wasting away during their spring break? I’m going to realize very soon how boring it is without friends and work to do… -.-</p>
