<p>i got into mostec and hope to meet the other mostec people this summer. after i accepted their offer the message said i would receive more information regarding the program soon. has anybody gotten anything yet regarding mostec?</p>
<p>@lionstav (and anyone else in mostec) I also got into MOSTEC and I’ve tried finding more information, but the letter said this was the second year of the program (I think) so there’s barely any information. I haven’t gotten anything yet, but it should be interesting to find out what it is exactly since their FAQ doesn’t really delve too deep into the details.</p>

<p>TA means “Teaching Assistant.” They are undergrads or grad students that assist the professor. Sometimes they can teach the class alone or work with small groups (such as for a large lecture class in college) because they know the material from taking the class themselves or have studied in the subject area.</p>
<p>Info packet got here today in Oklahoma</p>
<p>I received a letter today. Unfortunately it just said that I’m still on the waiting list but I have a spot saved for me on <a href=“mailto:e2@MIT”>e2@MIT</a>. I think it was worded exactly as they told me on the portal but I clicked accept so fast and I couldn’t read it again ever since.</p>
<p>I just received my packet out here in the desert lol 
Did anyone else think that the packet was a bit small? I was expecting a bunch of papers with a what to bring, what the weather will be like, etc. Will they be sending out more detailed papers soon?</p>
<p>I’m assuming they will send the other papers in a later packet/by e-mail to the students that accepted the program and those that get off the wait-list. I really could use that list on what to bring, even if it’s a bit early, since this is my only real free week to go shopping.</p>
<p>The weather in New England has been extraordinarily strange this past school-year (October Snowstorm, very little snow after that day, a couple other odd days, and it hit 90 today). I would expect it to be 70s-80s normally. It sometimes hits 90s, but GENERALLY that’s only for a week in August. Not sure if that helps.</p>
<p>I also received a letter essentially saying the same thing the online MIT portal did regarding my acceptance to MOSTEC. Either there was slightly more information on the letter, or I just read the online acceptance way too fast and hit Accept. My actual information about the program hasn’t come yet though, and I can’t find anything about it from the Internet, lol.</p>
<p>I got accepted to E2, was looking for more info on whether or not the experience would be worth the travel cost. My family expects me to pay for the plane ticket from my own pocket, so I was wondering if anyone could bring any info they have found from searching online or personal experience. I’m already leaning towards going either way, I just need that extra push to solidify my decision, especially since the packet that I got in the mail had little to no info on the actual program itself.</p>
