^Where did you enroll after MITES?

@shostakovich95 How were the tests scores and grades of the people who go accepted into the program? Were try generally high or average or a mixture of both?

They have a chart of test scores on the MITES website; it shows averages in each section of the PSAT.

Ehhh, my math PSAT was ~610 and my October SAT was a 630… don’t know whether or not to worry about that (math isn’t my thing; I like it, but I’m a science person).

202 PSAT, 2040 SAT (would’ve been a 2170 if I didn’t get an 8 on the essay -.-).

My CR score was 720 for the SAT and low 70’s for the PSAT, too- above the mean score, but this isn’t an English program, so I don’t know how much that matters (especially because everyone keeps saying that scores don’t matter much anyway).

Delaware here, and is 3.9 really that low of a GPA?

I can’t believe that we won’t find out until April! & I am from New York :)

Personally, I am half AA, half East Asian (although I identify more with my black side, as for example I don’t live with my Asian parent.) 237 PSAT (77-80-80), 2330 SAT (800-800-730). However, as others have said, test scores aren’t everything. They are just to make sure you can handle the work and are pretty intelligent. Anything 200+ should be good, and mid-high 100s definitely have a good shot with good essays, recs, and other aspects of the application.

No, it’s not low. I only implied that because most of my friends scored lower than me on the PSAT, but their GPA’s are higher. They are also applying. I’m sure they’ve accepted people with 3.5 's or 3.6’s.

How will MITES contact us with the results through phone,e-mail, or letter?

Last year (when I applied), they sent notifications via e-mail telling you to check your status. Most people that got rejected, however, never received any notice at all.

Boston Mass here, crossing my fingers

I think I’ll be at CPW when decisions will probably be out! I’ll promise to take a peek :D

Midterms are finally over. Got a 94 on my AP Chem midterm, giving me an unexpected A- for the semester :)

How are the rest of you?

I got an A in AP Stat and college physics. Physics was barely an A (92). I just faxed my updated first semester to MITES yesterday.

@lldm21, a mixed bag, but fair enough.
Now for that Sci Oly Regional this weekend >.>…that’s taking up all of my attention atm

I’m from Mexico technically (Mexican-American). My mother’s from Illinois but I
guess I count as an American living abroad. I wonder if there’s anyone out there on a similar situation.

I can’t stop thinking about MITES. I looked at the 2010 Facebook group and most of its members are currently enrolled at HYPSM, except for two or three. Getting in would make my life so much easier.

(If you don’t know what HYPSM is, Google it)
