Gahh. MITES won’t give early decisions and the internship won’t extend the deadline. I’ll have to accept the internship and see what MITES does around April 15, to see what my options are.

Wow i went back to my essays and they are so bad…now that i wrote so many essays for camps and questbridge

Got a 2040 in October. Hoping for 22/23 in May.

…just checking up on the gang. My stroke of confidence has not worn off. I’m 100% positive that I will at least get to go for the 1-week stay.

100% positive? I think nobody can be 100% positive for a program like this

Rivstein, you are ultra-confident. I am not sure, as I don’t think anyone can be sure until they see their acceptance letter. I hope I get in; I need MITES to hurry it up ASAP so I can work out my internship situation. I’m glad that at the very least, I’ll be doing something awesome this summer.

meh, worst case scenario I’m going to do local internship, more SAT IIs, science fair stuff and study for my 9 APs

Rivstein, I am incredibly cocky and narcissistic; however, you make look like a depressed teenage girl who just broke up with her two year boyfriend and lost her virginity to him thinking it was special, when in reality she was just a toy.

Haha. I’m not narcissistic, but if you guys are hatin’ on my confidence, then I’ll go 99.99%. Is that better?

I’m actually just riding on the facts that I found two alumni with almost identical stats profiles to mine, that my essays are killer, and that, hopefully, 75% of applicants are Asian (sorry Alpha). Lol.

It’s fine. I have my backup plan with research with a Macauthor fellow professor. I’m bound to get into MIT or some good Ivy. I don’t need a summer program to determine my future. I work hard in school enough… Maybe I even overqualify for the program… I took both Calculus, Physics already at OCW open courseware and I’m good at robotics, programming and stuff already. Going to MITES will be for fun

We’ve got a badass over here…

jk. I need this; I’m a minority that isn’t 1st gen. I don’t want to be outshun.

Ozzy, strange analogy there…lol

That was beautiful Ozzy. My ex did that same thing with some other guy, haha.

Itd be so much easier if everybody got accepted lolz

Thank you, I tend to do some over-thought analogies xD. I am a 1st gen minority; I need this program, otherwise I feel like I will have no hope of entering MIT. And honestly, my writing practice was my MITES essays. Ever since, my writing has developed immensely. That is way I am so nervous. So I will agree with dokingsler about everyone being accepted, because I am ****ting bricks. My back up is Quest Bridge, and I believe I have a better chance at that 0.o.

Also, Rivs, I feel bad for that guy lol.

Am I the only one who thinks attending a college that’s not MIT wouldn’t be the end of the world (or any time close) … ?

Also, Happy Easter.

It would be the end of my world unless I get in to one of the following:

MIT
Columbia
Princeton
Stanford
UPenn

…in that order.

Why? 10charararar

I really want to go to MIT, and even without MITES, I think I have a decent shot at getting in, as long as I don’t screw up my senior year, which I doubt. However, if you land MITES, your chances of getting in, unless you are a total slacker or lack certain good qualities, are excellent.
