<p>I’m a proud member of the MITES class of 2008 and I’m delighted that you’re considering MITES. It’s an amazing program and believe me when i say this “six weeks at MIT can change you life”!
Now on to your questions. The essays are extremely important, it brings out you. Write about your passions and interests and don’t fall into the trap of writing about something simply because you think the admissions officers want to see it.<br>
Don’t worry about minority status, because the term “minority” doesn’t just apply to race (e.g. economically minority). Apply to MITES because you want to, not because of minority status.<br>
I don’t remember the exact month, but the results usually come out during fall. </p>
