This is a hypothetical scenario, but if you had to pick which one would you go to? In general, which are better, internships, or taking college courses? Which do you think have a bigger impact on college admissions? My brother is applying to these programs next year, and he would like to know which is the better program to attend if he gets in.

MITES. A lot of kids get internships during high school. Only so many get to study at MIT.

Thanks for the input

Anyone else??

It depends which Stony Brook research internship. Something like Simons or Garcia might look better than MITES. It would definitely look better if you could do well in competitions which many people in the aforementioned programs do.

Bumpp bump

Bump bumpp

I’ve heard Stony Brook is awesome but I agree, a lot of people do summer research but there’s only 80 (well this year anyways) who get to do MIT’s freshman curriculum in one summer (plus meet amazing people) MITES is the best. Apply to both but MITES is a bit more unique if you ask me.
